Sketch Crawl 29

Last Saturday I participated in the 29th World Wide Sketch Crawl. A few students from The Art Institute came with me, and we sketched around downtown Salt Lake. Here's an image from that excursion. It's a building on Exchange Place and Main. Here's another angle from Google Maps.

Have I mentioned that I'm loving this new sketchbook? Okay, yeah, I know I have. But still . . .

I'm loving this new sketchbook.

Very cool. I really like the ink and watercolor combo. I'm typically not a watercolor fan...but when you add the ink...I'm really liking it.

Turned out awesome! Unlike Cara, I actually think watercolors are my favorite media. Especially the way you use them - all bright and funky. :)

Sam, you are amazingly talented! I knew this location right away. My dad is an architect and he designed the renovations of the Stock Exchange building years and years ago. His office was there forever and I spend my childhood walking right past these doors! I love it.
